Almost

So I looked in Ethan's mouth yesterday while he was laughing and I think he has all of his two year molars...thank the gods that he is finished teething. These molars have been bad especialy since they are at the back of his mouth and I can't tell if it is ear pain from infection, ear pain from teething or theething pain and he can't point at the back of his jaw. Either way he is significantly less craby and whiney. He has also been sleeping in till 8 am most days. He averages 7:30 which is a far cry from the 5:30-6:00 he was doing a few weeks ago. It means I get 6.5-7 hours of sleep a night :D wohooooooooo I am not so brain fried anymore.

We got the kids pics done a few weekends ago. By kids I mean Ethan, Riley and Emma. Now that was interesting. I did get a good one of Ethan and a good one of me and Ethan. I am still sad that our family picture consisits of just me and Ethan but I will deal.

Ethan gets his first taste of sushi today...well the cooked stuff anyways, no raw fish for my little boy. He shouls like it though he loves fish and rice and veggies. :) guess we shall see. Time is flying soo fast. I am going through all his stuff sorting what I can keep and what goes to a friend and what I try to sell.

I need to book my plane ticket soon, and I have a bit of a dilema. I don't have to buy Ethan a seet till he is 2. However he is the size of a 2.5-3 yr old (he is 31 lbs) and it was uncomfortable at x-mass when he was smaller. Do I realy want to pay $100 just for my comfort? What I will probably do is ask for a seat with no one beside me so he doesn't bther the person next to us. I will ask when I call to book wether it is strictly and age thing or a weight/height thing.

well off to get us dressed to go buy food.

Frikin Terrible two's

Every day for the last week and a half Ethan has been having temper tantrums. Not just little displays of his "Irish temper" (as my mom calls it) that he has been since he was two days old but full blown falls on the ground meltdowns. I swear it happened over night last tuesday I had my easy going toddler and I wolk up wednesday with "mr tantrum boy". I know temper tantrums are developmentaly normal at this age but isn't he a bit early for the terrible two's?

I will say it makes going to the store more of an adventure :( and if one more person glares at me when Ethan starts crying cus he doesn't want to be in the cart I am going to slap them.

I still love being a mom but I think I want to trade in my tantrumie toddler for the co-operative baby boy I had. *note to self* thank mom for cursing me with a child like my brother *sigh*

Pink Eye

So my baby has pink eye. I am 30 and I have never had it but my poor little 18 month old caught it. Okay let me rephrase it I am going to get it for the first time and I am almost thirty.

My poor Ethan his dad took him out of his crib this morning and his right eye was glues shut with eye pussy goop so we took him to the walk-in and got drops. I put it in both eyes before bed because his left one was running. Not to mention he has a runny nose and a bit of a temperature (teething fever). I would expect him to be more crabby but thankfully he isn't. He is just a bit more cuddley...LOL oh the hard ship. He is playing and laughing but he wants to sit and watch his Thomas dvd a bit more than I normaly let him.

I hope it goes away quick.

Dr appointment and stuff

Ethan had his 12 month appointment today (well tecnicaly yesterday). He is growing well just like a little weed. He is 23 lbs and 33 inches tall :) my big boy. Poor kid had his needles, MMR,chickenpox, and his flue shot. Both me and Rob are going to get ours from his mom she is gona bring it home with her (she is a nurse and works in a clinic). Ethan didn't cry with the needle he just whined a bit for the second one and his little arm was bleeding a bit :( I hate seeing my baby bleed. He needs another booster on the 12th of December.

On the good news front my aquaintence bought her new house so now we can start getting everything ready for the daycare whohooooo bye bye midnights. I know it may take a few months but it is one step closer to me being able to be with Ethan and not having to "go to work".

Oh and we have our plane ticket home for x-mass :D. We leave on the 21 and come back on the 27th. Not a long visit but better than nothing.

Back to work now. Ethan is not liking it much and since I am on midnights I don't get to put him to bed or wake up with him so I am not liking it either. He is boycotting his naps again. He will not sleep during the day unless it is on mommy which is fine cus then I get a nap and can stay up long enough to feed him his dinner :) . I work 12am-8am and then I take him till around 6pm then i sleep till 10-10:30 pm and go back to work. No wonder I am so tirred. But at least Ethan is adjusting well.

Temper

LOL okay this was too funny.

Rob was in the bedroom with Ethan the other day and I was putting laundry away in Ethan's room. Ethan apparently wanted something on my dresser and Rob told him no. And Ethan tried to do it again and Rob told him NO! All of a sudden I hear Ethan start his mad cry and start calling mum mum mummmummmum so I turned around and he was walking inot his room whith the funniest look on his face ever...according to Rob when he said no Ethan got his mad pouty look and then proceded to call me and when looking for me. So being the nasty mom that I am I put him back in my room and hid around the corner and watched as he went after the object again (which turned out to be a candel). I watched as he had a tantrum when Rob said no and turn to go find me. LOL boy he was mad when I told him no to.

Poor Ethan Inherited my temper...still not sure why he thinks I will let him have something if Rob says no...we are consistent about what he can and cant play with.

10 months

Wow I can't believe my littel one is 10 months old (and 2 days) time flies!

Lets see he is now walking pretty well, and he can run although he still falls easily. He climbs stairs, feeds himself cherrio's and spagetti, drinks out of his sippy cup and now has his first pair of runners. He can say hi now to :D.

:( he is getting so big...OMG he is almost a toddler!

So I have to go back to work By Oct 7th which sucks. And what bites even more is that I have to work midnights. Work 12am-8am, awake and taking care of Ethan till 4 :30 pm then sleeping till 10:30 pm and then back to work. This is going to prove to be intersting. Oh well it is just untill I get the day care thing worked out with Donalee and it is up and running. I need to do the two orientations, take the 40 hour course and the first aid (which I have to do anyways for work when I go back) before we get it up and running. I figure I will take the course when Donalee takes it to so we are both ready at the same time. I have to get my crim check and child abuse registry check (also no biggie cus I have the crim check already). She is aiming for end of November beginning of December *crosses fingers*. I don't wana go back to security for to long. Hell I don't wana leave my Ethan even when he is sleeping and daddy is watching him. I won't miss anything but still. I get nervous being away from him, anything could happen.

I can't believe he is 7 months. He is mobile. He eats very mushed up real food. He has a personality. Wow it has been amazing to watch and every day he learns something new (like to laygh at mommy when she says "Ethan Thomas don't touch", or "Ethan NO". I know he doesn't understand the word no but his reaction sometimes make me wounder. He has the "but I am gona anyway look" down pat. LOL I am in trouble.

Sofar his favorite Veggie is squash then green beans. I prefer giving him the squash the dipers arn't neirly as bad LOL. And we tried carrots again today...nope still doesn't care for them...but he will eat it in his cereal and not spit it back at mommy.
Weeeee next time I go to the store we start with the fruit. He likes bananna if I mush it first but he is not sure what to do with the chunks yet.

I caught pic's of him standing in his crib this afternoon...we have a climber!

Mother's day

There is no other job in the world that is 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Once your child is born you will always be a mother nothing will ever change that not even death. No other job is as stressfull, time consuming, demanding...and rewarding as being a mother. It is the single hardest thing I have ever done in my life and I am blessed that I have it. There is no calling in sick or injured and there are no holidays or holiday pay. And I for one wouldn't give Ethan up for all the freedom, sleep, free time, travel, hot meals and money in the world.
He woke me up this morning by sticking his finger in my nose and saying mama (although I don't think he knows what it means yet). The only thing I could think of was how blessed I am to have been given my mirracle boy.

I love you Ethan, and inspite of your $#%%&^#&&# dad this was the best "First Mother's Day" ever!!

Okay so now Ethan has figured out how to screech...OMG my head hurts. How a baby can make that high a pitch is amazing to me...I was checking to make sure he wasn't part bat. Nope no bat traits ;)
I hope he grows out of this fast!

LOL

So Ethan is sitting in his chair beside me playing peek-a-boo with the cat. He is lifting the blanket over his face then lowering it and squeeling at the cat. What a kid lol. He went for his first Sunday night cruz last night to go meet some of the j-body guys and was showing off for Justin lol. He is a nice kid I can so picture him in a few years being a father.

HIs cold is slowly going away which is good but he is still coughing at night, and last night he wasn't feeling good at all so he came in bed with me and woke me up thismorning by trying to rip my hair out :( I think I prefer him sucking on my face as a "good morning wake up mommy" sign.
